Police appeal for footage after life-threatening Stratford assault
Metropolitan Police are seeking witnesses and recordings after a man in his 30s suffered severe injuries in an attack on Penny Brookes Street in Stratford.
Police were called at 9.15 p.m. on August 22, but the suspects had left before officers arrived. Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service crews found the injured man and took him to hospital, where he remained in a life-threatening condition a week later.
No arrests had been made by August 29. Detective Sergeant Justina Rackauskaite said investigators were working to establish the circumstances and wanted to hear from anyone who was in the Penny Brookes Street area that evening.
Police specifically requested CCTV, doorbell-camera or dashcam footage that could assist the inquiry. Anyone with information was asked to call 101 and quote CAD 3842/28AUG. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through its website.
